ABOLISH GROUND RENT PETITION – PLEASE SIGN

The National Leasehold Campaign fully supports this petition to Abolish Ground rents for Existing Residential Leaseholders. Ground Rents are causing increasing issues for existing leaseholders resulting in leaseholders being trapped in homes they can’t sell. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) concluded that ground rents for leasehold properties, were neither legally nor commercially necessary, finding them an “unnecessary” burden on leaseholders for which they received little in return.
