THIS IS THE FINAL CHANCE TO COMPLETE THE MENTAL HEALTH SURVEY. The National Leasehold Campaign alongside Silence Of Suicide have extended the Mental Health Survey until Monday 24th February. It’s important we capture the human impact Leasehold is having on mental health and well-being. The issues of Leasehold remain and the impact on people’s mental health and well-being is immense.  The results of the survey will be given to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government Angela Rayner and Minister of State for Housing Matthew Pennycook SOS Silence Of Suicide alongside the National Leasehold Campaign feel it is important to capture the true human impact this scandal is having on people’s lives and present these findings to the government. NLC Mortgage Lenders Survey We have noticed an increase in the number of NLC members and their families reporting property sales are falling through due to issues with their leases. Also being refused new mortgages or remortgages on more favourable terms. In most cases it is reported that lenders are highlighting onerous leases or TP1 terms as the reason for the refusal.
